A statement released by Sarawak Keadilan Women’s Wing revealed that the KEADILAN Women Chief will arrive in Kuching on Friday morning to lead her delegation of KEADILAN women leaders to pay a courtesy call (kunjung hormat) on the Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Patinggi Alfred Jabu at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia and Dato’ Seri William Mawan, to understand the necessary actions and response by Sarawak government towards resolving the problems identified by the Federal Ministerial Taskforce and to curb the rape and sexual abuse of Penan girls and women in Sarawak.
The delegation of KEADILAN women leaders will present a Memorandum to DCM Tan Sri Datuk Patinggi Alfred Jabu who is also the Chairman of the State Cabinet Committee on Penan Affairs.
Later, in the afternoon, the KEADILAN Women Chief is scheduled to call on the Director of Sarawak Women’s Bureau, Puan Norjanah Hj Razali followed by another session with Dr. Haji Julaihi Haji Bujang, the Sarawak Director of Education.
In conjunction with the Hari Raya festivity, Zuraida Kamaruddin and her Wanita KEADILAN executive committee members will attend a Hari Raya gathering at the residence of Sarawak KEADILAN Advisor, Dato’ Seri Hafsah Harun and will meet the public at a Hari Raya Idilfitri dinner gathering at Kampung Pinang Jawa, Petra Jaya the same evening.
On the following day, 26 September 2009 (Saturday) the KEADILAN Women Chief is scheduled to travel to visit a number of Iban longhouses in Engkilili and attend a Salam Idilfitri gathering in Kampung Melayu, Engkilili. She will be accompanied by KEADILAN State Wanita Chief, Puan Ibi Uding and the Wanita Chief for KEADILAN Lubok Antu Division, Puan Angela Jabing.
